How do I get started?

How long does a typical engagement take?
Strategy Sprints: 2–4 weeks. Custom Development: 6–16 weeks. Technical Partnerships: ongoing (monthly retainer). Most projects scope in a single 30-minute call.
Do you work with startups?
Yes. We specialize in MVP validation, technical architecture, and custom builds for early-stage founders. Budget from $2,000 for scoping to $30,000+ for complete builds.
Can you work with our in-house team?
Absolutely. Our Technical Partnership model is specifically designed for agencies and in-house teams needing overflow capacity or senior technical leadership.

What if our budget is under $2,000?
We typically recommend starting with a 30-minute discovery call to understand your needs. Smaller projects or retainer relationships might be possible depending on scope and fit.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. For projects over $10,000, we typically structure billing as 50% upfront, 25% at mid-point, 25% on delivery. Discuss payment terms on your first call.
What does "From $X" mean?
That's the starting point for that service. Real pricing depends on scope. A focused sprint might be $2K, a multi-stakeholder audit might be $8K. We scope a real number on the first call.
Our Process
What does "Clarity before code" mean?
We invest time upfront understanding your business, goals, users, and constraints before we write a single line of code. The result is a sharp strategy and roadmap that actually moves metrics.
Who will I actually work with?
A senior consultant who scoped your project will lead the execution. No junior hand-offs, no layers of account managers. The senior person you meet is the person doing the work.
How do you stay involved after launch?
Post-launch support is included (30 days for custom builds). Beyond that, we offer Technical Partnership for ongoing support, updates, and feature development.
Will you document everything?
Yes. You own everything we build — the code, design, systems, and documentation. No vendor lock-in. You can hand off to another team anytime.

Working Together
What if we're not sure if Swash is a fit?
Book a call. We'll be honest. If we're not the right fit, we'll point you somewhere better. There's no obligation.
Can you work with our existing technology and tools?
Yes. We integrate with your current stack — CRMs, analytics, databases, payment processors. We rarely start from scratch unless that's actually the best approach.
How do you communicate during a project?
Weekly syncs, Slack updates, and shared documentation. We keep communication lean — no unnecessary meetings, but full visibility on progress.
What happens if we need to pause or stop a project?
We can pause engagements. For custom builds, we typically invoice for work completed plus any non-refundable commitments already made. Strategy Sprints are non-refundable.
