PROJECT OVERVIEW
In addition to the public website, Swash Digital designed and built a dedicated Volunteer Management Portal for SERV Food Bank — a standalone, purpose-built web application for volunteer registration, coordination, and administration. This is a separate application from the main WordPress website, built for daily operational use by both volunteers and SERV staff.
THE PROBLEM THIS SOLVES
Non-profit organizations that rely heavily on volunteers face a common operational challenge: coordinating dozens of volunteers manually through email, spreadsheets, and phone calls consumes significant staff time and creates friction that discourages prospective volunteers from completing the application process. SERV needed a digital system to replace this manual overhead entirely.

USER EXPERIENCE
The volunteer portal presents the real food bank photography and team images on the login screen — creating an immediate emotional connection to the community mission before the user enters the system. The interface is clean, accessible, and designed for volunteers of all technical backgrounds. The admin portal provides SERV staff with a complete operational dashboard, managing the full volunteer lifecycle without any manual processes.
