ABOUT THE CLIENT
SERV Food Bank serves the Langdon and Rural RockyView area of Alberta, Canada. With over 30 years of community service, the organization provides food hampers, education programs, and family support to households facing food insecurity. SERV operates entirely on community donations and a dedicated volunteer base of 50+ active volunteers, currently serving 200+ families.
THE CHALLENGE
SERV’s existing digital presence did not reflect the scale or professionalism of their community impact. The organization needed a complete solution: a brand identity from scratch, and a public website that could effectively serve three distinct audiences — community members needing food support, potential volunteers, and donors. These three user journeys needed to coexist clearly without confusion.

DESIGN APPROACH
SERV Food Bank uses red as its primary brand colour — warm, energetic, and communicating urgency and community simultaneously. The logo incorporates produce imagery (vegetables, fruit) to immediately communicate purpose. The website layout prioritizes accessibility, ensuring someone in urgent need can find intake information without friction, while donors and volunteers can quickly understand how to get involved. Clean, uncluttered, and purposeful throughout.
